JTB Questionnaire

The work that Prof. Jens Palsberg and Kevin Tao are doing on JTB is solely for academic purposes and strictly non-profit.  In the interests of obtaining further funding for work on JTB and other projects, we are seeking any positive feedback you might wish to provide us regarding your experiences using the Java Tree Builder.  To that end, we have prepared a short questionnaire that we would appreciate if you took the time to answer.

Just send an email to Wanjun Wang or Jens Palsberg. with your answers to these questions.  Also, please let us know if we have your permission to quote your answers, as we would like to post them on the JTB webpage.

  1. Please provide a short description of JTB as a recommendation to someone who has never seen or used it before.
  2. How would you classify your use of JTB?  What kind of work are you doing or have you done using JTB?
  3. What is your opinion on JTB?  Did you find the tool useful?  Please rate it on a scale from 1 to 10 (worst to best).
  4. Have you used other similar tools such as JJTree or ANTLR (specifically, the tree-building aspect of it)?
  5. If you answered yes to number 4, how would you compare JTB with these other tools?  Again, please rate it from 1 to 10 in comparison and include anything you have to say, including comments on ease of use, learning curve, etc.
  6. Please include below any other comments you have regarding JTB.  Feel free to include any suggestions for improvement.

We sincerely thank you for your time and hope that you have found our tool to be of use to you.

Best regards,

Kevin Tao
