ORP & StarJIT: High-Performance Java on IPF

In this talk I will describe the Open Runtime Platform (ORP) and StarJIT,
a virtual machine and JIT for Java.  Together they provide comparable or
better performance than the best commercially available alternative on
IPF.  I will describe some techniques used to get high performance, and
how we achieve this performance despite using almost-strict
function-call interfaces.
